The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of assigned commercial properties. This position supports landscape maintenance crews by performing site cleanup, debris removal, trash collection, and other general groundskeeping duties to ensure properties remain safe, clean, and visually appealing. The Porter plays an important role in delivering a positive experience for our customers and helping maintain the high standards expected by United Land Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove trash, debris, leaves, and other litter from assigned properties.

• Empty and clean trash receptacles throughout customer sites.

• Operate backpack blowers and other equipment to maintain clean sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, and common areas.

• Assist with light landscape maintenance activities, including weeding, edging, and general site cleanup.

• Perform pressure washing of sidewalks, curbs, and other hardscape surfaces as needed.

• Remove cobwebs, dirt, and debris from building exteriors, signage, light poles, and other site features.

• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting tools, materials, and equipment.

• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and organized manner.

• Report property damage, safety concerns, and maintenance issues to management.

• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and customer site requirements.

• Provide excellent customer service while representing United Land Services in a professional manner.

• Assist landscape crews with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous groundskeeping, porter, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred but not required.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to safely operate landscape maintenance equipment and tools.

• Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed.
